CS Designworks cooks up an online presence for a Private Dining Club and Italian Restaurant.

Course one: club 101
In the heart of Midtown Manhattan is Club 101, one of the few remaining private dining club establishments in New York. Serving the captains of industry since 1982, Club 101 did not have an online presence. HJ Kalikow, the owner of Club 101 and a long-standing client of CSDs, was looking for a website that reflected the exclusive and elegant nature of the Club. Of course, the website had to provide essential information to its members.

CSD called in head photographer Peter Tenzer to cook up some tasteful photos – and that he did. The “photos really captured the essence of Club 101,” says Richard Gurvitz, CIO, of HJ Kalikow. The final design expertly merged photography, classical design and technology. This included an easy-to-use content management module for staff to publish upcoming events. “A true measure of success is when the website becomes an extension of the establishment. And club101ny.com, by all means achieves this, and then some,” says Richard.

COURSE TWO: Villa Marcello
Owner Peter Trancina of Villa Marcello, a local Long Island restaurant, sure knows how cook up a mean Lasagna but didn’t know much about websites. One thing Peter knew was that he needed a website.
