Where Creativity and Promotional Item Intersect

Marketing is all about getting your message across as succinctly as possible. Consider on any given day all the messages that get thrown at us: e-mail, ads, calls, brochures, etc., all vying for your attention and trying to get noticed. As marketers one of the things you are constantly grappling with is what works best. Admittingly, there is no magic bullet. The best marketers will tell you to create a marketing mix, measure and then do more of what works given your target.

One of our favorite ways to help communicate a marketing message is with the combination of a marketing concept, a promotional item and clever packaging. Case in point was our recent trade show endeavor at Columbia University . Our theme “solved” was brought to life by a simple brain teaser puzzle. The puzzle was packaged in a simple velour pouch and a hang tag was affixed that explained “solved” in context. This was a huge hit at Columbia, a great ice breaker and will serve as a great follow up mailer for us. One last thing we did to encourage client dialogue was to put a simple call to action regarding solving the puzzle. I know - a bit sneaky, but that's called marketing.
